I got a bag from Starbucks for free last night. They told me to sprinkle it in my garden. Since I have no garden, just shrubs, is it a healthy idea for them to get this nourishment? I mean, coffee works for me but them?

I would like to plant swop especially any streptocarpus cuttings material or african violets cuttings materials.
Also I will give a home to plants or shrubs you don’t want rather than see them go to the tip.
I’m a plantaholic have not really got room for the ones I already have but that has never stopped me.

I am having a hard time trying to pull out this grass that looks similar to ” hay ” which is growing around the roots of my shrubs. Does anyone have any gardening or weeding tips or tricks that they could share with me.

We have some tall (8-10ft) next to our garage that need to be removed. We would like to put in a new garden, but the shrubs have thick roots (1-2″ thick) that are probably going to be too tough to get out ourselves and I don’t think it would be good to build a new garden over the roots.

Does anyone know about what it would cost to have these removed. There are a total of 6 that need to be yanked out.
