Garden Plant Pots

OK…so I need some ideas…I’m not from the US, let alone Houston and need some advice as to what to plant in my large yard that has no shade.. I want trees, shrubs and anything else that might survive this heat! I don’t have irrigation, so please bear that in mind with your recs….any advice welcome as to what I should fertilise with or where I can get the plants in my area apart from home depot! I’m interested in plant swaps and eco-fiendly ideas for garden materials…thanks for your help!

I want my plants to grow and look beautiful, should I use the miracle grow bloom booster first and then the miracle grow liquafeed after they bloom?
I feed them every week and use the system that you attached to the hose.

My husband and I are planting a garden for the first time this year. We live in Northwestern California. We would like to do “basic” veggies like tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, squash and cucumber. Any advice appriciated.
I should also mention that we are not starting from seed, but rather pre-started plants. thanks.

i have a very large tree that the squirrles nest in. also my neighbor attracts them and feeds them. i would like to plant a garden this summer. do you have any tips or advice to keep them out of the garden?

someone told me that i could plant hot peppers outside of the garden and this would help. is there any truth to this? does building a fence work?
