Can i transfer a yukka plant that has always been indoors in a pot to the lawn garden to live outside forever.

I am looking at a yukka on ebay which has always been inside and i would like to plant it in my lawn. Is this possible or are there indoor and outdoor type yukkas?

they grow like crazy outside. its a very hardy plant in drier, moderate climates
They should be able to adapt outdoors. Since it’s been indoors it’s whole life, it might be more tolerant of higher moisture levels, so you’d have to water it more often outdoors.
yes set it free dig a big hole and plant it
Yuccas are native to North America and should do very well outdoors in most areas. If you live in a very moist / wet areas ~ especially wet freezing winters you may have difficulty.
When transplanting your yucca make sure not to sunburn it. Although yuccas do very well in full sun ~ they need a little adjustment time. Use some screen or cheese cloth over the leaves for a few weeks so that it can build up a tolerance to the sun.
Deep water in the summer ~ rain water only in the winter.
It all depends on your environment-are their heavy frosts in your area, does it get really cold their?,you can move it, just make sure that it is not a shock for the plant first.
Move it to a sheltered spot outdoors for a month or so then plant it out, this is what they call hardening off.
